First of all, I'm disappointed with the hats as well. But hey, it's no big deal, they're free. And they're still festive which is the point right?

It's pretty disgusting to see so many people act like rotten spoiled children in this thread. Yes, you can make criticisms and still be graceful about it. I suggest some of you people learn how to do this.

I mean, I do appreciate the fact that they probably wanted to avoid alot of QQing about the baldness of characters with the hats on...but looking as if its just a coverup to try and makeup for the dirty looking ice just dosen't seem right. Thank you for the hats, thank goodness for the festival hat maker and the ability to delete hats off of the invent!

Those hats are not bad - you simply didnt get your western santa claus stuff and you are shocked. OTOH, Flower crown and Ice crown are consistent with best Slavic traditions. And i for once like we didnt get more of stupid kiddie santa clas stuff.

Hi, maybe you missed all that stuff at the bottom of the page about how they would have to change the winning design and blah blah because it would just make all our characters bald again.

Seeing as...oh...EVERYONE complained more than they are right now about how they're characters went bald. So what, they added a little something so we all wouldn't look like we shaved our heads like Britney....

The only thing anyone can really complain about is that the actual "ice crown" doesn't look like ice. They told us in advance they'd be adding something to the crown. Is it their fault you can't read?

I hope next year they just do their own thing. Don't have a contest where everyone is just going to act like little 5 year old spoiled snots after they release it....

Don't completely bash Anet, I mean you stood there to get the Mask, at least treasure it! I don't see you programming the game.

Further notice though, I do agree, I wish Nian's design could have had a little more effort. The ice looks more like metal such as steel or rusty iron. The fuzz is more of a wig. I suggest making hair visible, and it gets placed on the top of your head, simple as that.

As for the wreath, I like it. I think the candles make a cute addition.

Nian's design was better as was, but some adjustments have to be made. A glow would've been nice, but at least there's a hair rim on it for a change. And the wreath looks rather cute on my ele.

Yep I read that and still think it's crap that they changed the whole design. It looks nothing like the art, I know they can't make it "exactly" like the design but the crown doesn't even look like ice and the spikes aren't anything like the design by Nian. I wasn't even complaining about the hair thing, the whole crown looks bad.

Really don't give a shit about the crown I just think it's horrible that they hold a contest and then completely change the design, I understand that they can't have hair with hats but they slaughtered the actual design, the spikes are supposed to be going up not back and the whole thing looks like dirty ice. Nian wanted the crown to actually glow like she had in her design and Anet couldn't spend the time making her design come to life.

In the brief time my female ranger had her Ice crown, it actually looked rather nice on her.
